The Ibsen Scholarships award innovative projects in the field of drama and performing arts and projects that act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen and his plays.

From Senegal in the west to Eritrea in the east, people are on the brink of a major disaster. Norway is therefore providing NOK 50 million to help those affected by the drought and ensuing food crisis.

In August 2011 Tom Tyrihjell was appointed the Kingdom of Norway’s ambassador to Ghana. On 28 October 2011 the Ambassador presented his credentials to His Excellency John Atta Mills, President of the Republic of Ghana.
